Who wants to see pictures of a dead man?

Do you really want to see pictures of a dead Osama Bin Laden?

I don’t.

And, I’m glad the President has decided not to release them.

First of all, what would the pictures prove? They could be real or they could be doctored. Would you know the difference? Are you that well acquainted with Osama? I couldn’t look at a picture and say with 100% certainty that it was or wasn’t him. Pictures wouldn’t do a thing for me.

Second, are you that morbid? I don’t want to see images of a dead man, regardless of what he’s done.

Lastly, pictures would only stir people up more. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to take a chance on further offending other human beings by continuing the “celebration” of death we have seen since Sunday evening.

I’ve heard both sides of the argument, but I cannot support the idea of celebrating the death of another human being. I understand that justice must be served, but I do not think that celebration is the right action to follow said justice.

Mustang Update

Doesn't that engine look nice?

As far as I can tell, here's what still needs to be done to the mustang to make it run again:

Drain and clean the gas tank and lines
Change the oil
Change the coolant
Install choke tubes
Install PCV tube

Doesn't sound too bad does it? I'm sure there will be a few hiccups. I actually spent some time working on the choke tubes this past weekend and was unsuccessful, so I'm sure that will continue to be a pain but with a little work that engine will be purring again in no time. I think.

Mount Whitney

My Mount Whitney Trip is quickly approaching. I leave tomorrow morning for a 4-day trek up the 14,496 foot mountain. Wish me luck and say a prayer.

My Focus

I love my car. I bought it in 2004 and have had many an adventure in it, as you can see from the pictures below. Today, the car is 100% mine. I finished paying off my loan this morning. Here’s to being debt free… at least car-wise.

The Bike Ride to End All Bike Rides

A couple weeks ago, Chris, James, Scott and I went for the bike ride to end all bike rides. Well, maybe I’m exaggerating a bit. I spent most of the trail walking, but even still it was a great time with the guys. Here are a few random pics from that trip that have little to do with the actual ride.
