Lately I've been asking myself that question. I used to be the kind of guy who keeps his wallet in the back right pocket, keys in the right front, and cell phone in the left front, but lately I've been questioning this practice.

First of all, it's annoying to sit on your wallet all the time. And, not only can it be a little uncomfortable, but it can also wear a wallet shaped hole in the seat of your pants.

Because of this, I've been testing out some new configurations, but the problem always is where do you put the keys. Put the keys with the wallet in one of the front pockets and you damage the wallet. Put the keys with the cell phone and you damage the cell phone. And, keeping the wallet and the cell phone in the same pocket is out of the question unless you like giant bulges. It's quite a dilemma.

So, all this leads me to one question. Where do YOU keep your wallet and keys?

It occurred to me the other night, when I stepped out into a brisk Burbank night to enjoy some frozen yogurt with some friends, that I don’t really know how to properly wear a scarf. I like the look of the scarf, and have often wanted to become a scarf wearer, but every time I go to put one on I feel a little foolish, and unsure of whether I’m wearing it correctly.

This morning I did a little research and came to the conclusion that everyone has a different opinion of how a scarf should be worn. There do, however, appear to be a few basics that a scarf wearing man should be aware of. Here’s what I’ve found.

Askmen.com outlined several acceptable ways to tie a scarf. I’m not sure they all work for every man, but definitely a few viable options. In theory the Parisian looks like it might be my favorite here.

eHow.com describes what Askmen.com called the Parisian. I guess that means it’s a generally acceptable way to get the job done.

Here’s a discussion on the Art of Manliness forum about scarves. I have to say, I was a little disappointed not to find an actual post on the Art of Manliness blog regarding scarves, but the discussion on the forum is semi-helpful.

All in all, I found Askmen.com to be the best resource. I’ll have to try out a couple of the options they provide and share my findings at a later time. I don’t exactly feel comfortable going into the bathroom at work on my break to try out different scarf tying techniques.

If you’re a man, how do, or would, you tie your scarf?
