Today, in Pasadena, The Salvation Army, in conjunction with several local service providers, including Union Station Homeless Services, Shelter Partnership, Pasadena Host Lions Club, and Pacific Clinics, to name a few, hosted the 2nd Annual Homeless Connect Day.

Homeless Connect Day, is a one day event that seeks to pull all of the local service agencies together in one place so that people seeking services can get everything they need in one stop. It’s a great idea, and one I would like to see executed in other cities. My only observation is, why isn’t this being done year-round?  The need is there.

I just donated clothes to the salvation army yesterday, I hope they get some good use! I never know which place to give them to.

I think it’ll be used no matter where you take it. It’s hard to go wrong when you’re donating clothes.

You just reminded me that I have two bags of clothes riding around in my car that I’ve been meaning to donate.
