Recent Rash of Shootings

What's going on? It seams as though each day we're hearing the news of another shooting.  Some of them are hitting a little too close to home (like last night's Shooting in Glendale). In recent weeks I've heard about shootings in East LA, the Los Feliz area, and Hollywood. I know these things happen all the time, and it's possible that I'm just more aware of them now, but it really seems these things are getting more and more frequent. 

 

Now, on a related issue, I understand that the recent rash of shootings may not have a direct correlation to this, but do you really think it could work?  I'm not holding my breath.
